A motorcycle driver and his 4-year-old child were injured, while his wife died after she fell on the road and was ran over by a bus at the highway in Brgy. Sta. Cruz Viejo, Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 25.
The couple and their child, whose names were withheld by the police, are from Brgy. Poblacion, Bindoy town in Negros Oriental.
The husband was driving a scooter with his son and his wife as backriders when it skidded on a slippery road causing them to fall, the police said.
When the wife fell she was ran over by a Ceres bus, driven by a 51-year-old driver from San Carlos City, Negros Occidental, and was declared dead at the Urgent Care Clinic in Tanjay, the police added.
Her husband and child sustained injuries and were brought to the Dumaguete City Hospital.
The Ceres bus driver is now under police custody.*
