A Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, councilor resigned from his post to work with Negrense and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority(TESDA) Director-General Jose Francisco Benitez.
Hinoba-an Councilor Jason Tupas, in a Facebook post, said that he will work as TESDA’s focal person for Local Government Unit (LGU) Linkages under Benitez.
Tupas said that it is a big opportunity and a challenge for him, and with his new post at TESDA he can serve more people in the country.
He is a three-term councilor and was a former Sangguniang Kabataan Chairperson and Kagawad.
He said that with his position in TESDA, he will focus on the implementation of Community-Based Technical Education and Vocational Training in Negros Occidental.
Tupas said that his resignation will be effective Nov. 15.*
