Himamaylan City is pursuing a twinning agreement with Taguig City.

Himamaylan Mayor Raymund Tongson, in a Facebook post, thanked Taguig City Mayor Lani Cayetano for allowing him to pursue a twinning agreement with Taguig City “in accordance with our shared intention to promote equality and mutual benefit.”

Through the twinning agreement they will utilize existing partners and networks in examining opportunities that present the possibility of new investments, stimulate sustainable economic movement, and create jobs, he said.

“This sisterhood is also an essential step in achieving our aim of uniting distinct sociocultural communities in order to create a sound system for resource sharing, providing assistance in times of need, and sharing knowledge in order to ensure prosperity,” Tongson said.*
