Himamaylan awarded for eBOSS

The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) awarded Himamaylan City in Negros Occidental a Certificate of Commendation for its implementation of the Electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBOSS).

In a ceremony held at the city hall on Tuesday, June 25, the commendation was given to Himamaylan for its efforts to digitize and fast-track processes for businesses in the locality.

“The speedy processing of documents assures businesses in Himamaylan that we are doing our best in providing competent and up-to-date services,” said Mayor Raymud Tongson, who received the commendation on behalf of the city government.

Tongson said the successful full implementation of eBOSS in the city would not be possible without the support of city government personnel and the compliance of business and stakeholders.

The eBOSS program complies with the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

Himamaylan LGU has fully automated, end-to-end, its business permitting and licensing processes for both new and renewal applications, the mayor said.

Tongson thanked the Office of the President Sectary Ernesto Perez, ARTA Director General, the Department of Information and Communications Technologym ARTA regional officials and officers, and the people behind the city government for supporting the digitalization program.

Along with the awarding of the certificate, Himamaylan City was also the first LGU in Negros Island Region to host the ARTA Bagong Pilipinas Town Hall Meeting.

The town hall was held to inform barangays in Himamaylan of ARTA’s initiatives to simplify and automate government processes, along with the authority’s regulatory reform programs and activities.*
