Grand finals of traffic enforcers’ dance tilt in Bacolod set Oct. 19

Ten grand finalists will vie for the top honors in the Search for the Best Dancing Traffic Enforcer of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office that takes centerstage Tuesday, Oct. 19.

The grand showdown will be held at corner Lacson- Ramos streets from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with each finalist to be given five minutes to perform their dance routines.

The grand finalists are Hazel Nagar, Randy Ecraela, Joemar Langote, Gary Gonzales, Greg Leonaras, Araceli Abad, Rocky Leganada, Jay R Arazo, Richie Navarra, and Jemar Valencia.

BTAO head Police Maj. Ruel Culanag said that the competition is aimed at showcasing the talent of the traffic enforcers as they manage the flow of traffic while performing their dance moves.

The awarding of winners will be held at the office of the BTAO at the Bacolod City Police Office compound at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday shortly after the judging.

The grand winner will receive P10,000 in cash,; second placer, P6,000, and third, P3,000.

The rest of the finalists will get P1,000 each.

The dance showdown competitions began in August with 30 contenders.

Sixteen performers advanced to the semi-finals held on Sept. 25. The Top 10 was revealed on Oct. 12.

“We highly appreciate their cooperation, discipline, courtesy and knowledge of the traffic laws that we implement,” Culanag said of their traffic enforcers.*
