Assistance to disadvantaged and displaced workers, farm machineries, and allowances to scholars worth more than P13 million will be distributed at rites at the Capitol Lagoon Park in Bacolod City on Friday morning, Sept. 13.
The nationwide simultaneous distribution of assistance is being held to mark the 67th birthday of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.
The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) will distribute P3.7 million to 772 Tupad beneficiaries from Bacolod and Cadiz cities and KADIWA sellers.
The DOLE will also conduct an orientation for 363 Tupad beneficiaries from Silay City.
The Department of Agriculture will turnover a 4WD tractor, three combine harvesters and three hand tractors worth P9.2 million.
The Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources will distribute fingerlings, motor boat engines and PH kits, while the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority will give allowances to 700 scholars.
DOLE in partnership with the provincial Public Employment Service Office will also conduct a job fair at the Ayala Malls Capitol Central from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday.*
