Gov’t info officers take oaths; Be instruments of truth – guv

Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson called on the new officers of the Negros Association of Government Information Officers and Liaisons (NAGIOL) to continue to be instruments of truth, unity, and progress for Negros Occidental at their oathtaking rites at the Social Hall of the Capitol in Bacolod City on Monday, Oct. 6.

“Communication is not just a function, it is a public trust…You are the first to inform, the first to clarify, and sometimes, the first to bring calm during times of crisis,” Lacson said in his speech.

The news NAGIOL officers are headed by their president Dina Michelle Callejas of the provincial government of Negros Occidental – Public Information Office (PGNO-PIO).

The other officers are:
· Vice President: Paul Servano – Bureau of Fire Protection Bacolod City;
· Secretary: Alaine Noelle Borja – PGNO-PIO;
· Assistant Secretary: Bea Liza Fortaleza – PGNO Provincial Environment Management Office;
· Treasurer: Zapphire Romero – Department of Public Works and Highways Negros Occidental 1;
· Assistant Treasurer: Rian Trinidad -Cadiz City; and
· Auditor: Maverick Misajon – National Food Authority.

The members of the Board of Trustees are:
· Chairman of the Board: Bernard Susbilla – Philippine Information Agency;
· District 1: Noel Mondragon – San Carlos City;
· District 2: Helen Cutillar – Sagay City;
· District 3: Chuck Diaz -Talisay City;
· District 4: Ace Balboa – Bago City;
· District 5: Remuel Lajo – La Castellana;
· District 6: Kenneth Perez – Hinoba-an; and
· Bacolod City: Angelo Angolo.*
