Councilor Richard Jaojoco has transferred his voter registration from Barangay Pobacion to Magticol in Toboso Negros Occidental.
He transferred his voter registration as he may run as barangay captain of Macticol in the barangay elections in October, Jaojoco said Friday, February 11.
Jaojoco is a former three-term mayor of Toboso.
His resignation as councilor will be automatic if he files a certificate to run for barangay captain, he said.
If he wins he may then run as president of the Association of Barangay Captains.
As a former chief executive, he has seen the importance of serving at the grassroots, he said.*
