20 EBMagalona applicants qualify for IT scholarships

Twenty applicants from E. B. Magalona have qualified for scholarships in two Information Technology courses of the Negros Occidental provincial government for 2023, Mayor Marvin Malacon said Friday, February 3.

“Take this scholarship seriously by diligently attending the daily classes. The knowledge and the skills you will have learned from this course will be your ticket to finding a better job, and eventually leading a prosperous life,” the mayor told the scholars.

The Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center (NOLITC), a technical-vocational school owned and operated by the Provincial Government, conducted a pre-assessment examination and interview at the E. B. Magalona Public Plaza on Thursday, a press release from the town said.

The exam and interviews were conducted by NOLITC project development officer Avelyn Marañon and administrative assistant Precious Mongcal.

Assisting them was E. B. Magalona PESO manager Jessilyn Plaza.

NOLITC school administrator Dr. Ma. Cristina Orbecido said nine applicants have received scholarships in Contact Center Service NC II and 11 applicants got scholarships in Visual Graphic Design NC III.*
