The Provincial Health Office conducted fogging operations versus mosquitoes   as a deterrent against dengue at the Negros Occidental Capitol in Bacolod City on Sunday, August 4.

Dengue is a viral infection transmitted to humans through the bite of infected mosquitoes.

Fogging was also conducted at the construction site of the new Provincial Administration Center and the Negros Occidental Language and Information Technology Center, Dr. Girlie Pinongan, Provincial Health Officer, said.

It was the fourth cycle fogging at the Capitol to control mosquito populations and reduce the spread of mosquito-borne diseases, she said.

There were a lot of mosquitoes at the Capitol and the construction site of the new PAC, she said.*
