Fire hits two house, 1 injured

A house was destroyed while another was damaged after a fire allegedly caused by illegal wiretapping of electricity broke out in Purok Rojas Village, Brgy. Tangub, Bacolod City, Tuesday morning, Feb. 11.

The fire started at the house of Edgardo, 79, and Julieta Asplico, 58, at 10:48 a.m., the Bureau of Fire Protection-Bacolod reported.

Initial investigation revealed that the fire was caused by an overloaded electric circuit due to illegal wiretapping.

Edgardo sustained a second degree burn at the left side of his face while the fire incident affected two families.

Fire out was declared at about 11:02 a.m. and total damage was pegged at P14,000.*
