A fire hit the Talisay Public Market in Barangay Zone 4A, Talisay City, Negros Occidental, Sunday night, March 8.
Investigation showed the fire started in the plasticware section inside the public market around 6:41 p.m., the police said.
Firefighters declared a fire out around 7:08 p.m. on the same day.
The incident destroyed one stall and damaged two other stalls.
Authorities estimated the damage at around P360,000.
The Bureau of Fire Protection is continuing its investigation to determine the cause of the fire.*
