Fire extinguisher ‘explosion’ kills 1

A man died when a fire extinguisher allegedly exploded at a store at Lizares Avenue in Bacolod City at about 1:05 p.m. Friday, October 15, Chief Inspector Rodel Legaspi, Bacolod City fire marshal, said.

Ricman Marvin Rillo, 33, was found with a wound on his head and parts of his body were severed, believed to have been caused by the impact of the fire extinguisher, Legaspi said.

Rillo was also covered with white foam from the fire extinguisher in a room at Rescape Fire Control Products store, where he worked, he added.

A loud explosion was heard before his body was discovered.*
