Vice Governor Jeffrey Ferrer got a full show of support from government officials led by Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson and his family headed by Rep. Juliet Marie Ferrer on his filing of his certificate of candidacy for representative of the 4th District of Negros Occidental.
Ferrer (United Negros Alliance/National Unity Party) filed his COC for a return to Congress before the Comelec at the Social of the Capitol in Bacolod City Sunday afternoon, Oct. 6.
“I’m returning to the 4th District because my wife is on her last term as congresswoman. Our mission to provide more projects to the 4th District will continue in collaboration with the local government units,” he said.
He pledged to continue to serve the people of the 4th District well.
Lacson who is a member of the Nationalist People’s Coalition showed his support for Ferrer despite the NPC’s issuing a Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance to Former Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development assistant secretary Lea Delfinado who is also running for representative of the 4th District.
The mayors and other officials of the local government units of the 4th District also accompanied Ferrer to the Comelec.*
