The enrolment in all public schools in Western Visayas for school year 2024-2025 will begin Wednesday, July 3, until July 26, Department of Education-6 spokesperson Hernani Escullar said Tuesday.
The schools are now ready to accept incoming students for the next school year, he said.
Escullar said the three modes of enrolment are in-person, remote enrolment through online messaging tools set by the school, and by dropbox situated in schools and nearby barangay halls.
The new school year will also observe the first phase of the implementation of the “Matatag” curriculum in grades 1, 4, and 7.
Escullar said that the school heads will be conducting capacity building and training for teachers who will teach the new curriculum.
The Brigada Eskwela is also set on July 22 to 27, while the opening of classes will be on July 29.
Escullar also said that DepEd is also hoping that the learners can be enrolled before the deadline on the 26th.*
