Emily V. Yanson was reelected president and chairman of two family firms Monday, March 8, press releases from her lawyer Carlo Joaquin Narvasa said.
The separate annual meetings of Yanson Realty Development Corp. and RB Yanson Resources Phils. Inc. shareholders were held at Seda Hotel, Bacolod City, presided by Eduardo L. De Mesa Jr. as proxy for Yanson.
Both meetings were attended by stockholders representing 66.67 percent of the outstanding capital stock of the corporations, the press releases said.
Roy, Emily and Ricardo Yanson, Ma. Lourdes Celina Y. Lopez, Jerina Louise Y. Ramos, and Matthew Agustine Y. Lopez were elected by the shareholders anew as members of the Board of Directors of both corporations for 2021-2022.
In the organizational meetings of both firms that followed, the directors reelected Emily as chairman of the Board of Directors and president, Lopez as vice president for operations, Roy as treasurer and chief financial officer, Ricardo as corporate secretary, Anna Isabella C. Galvez as assistant corporate secretary, and Narvasa as vice president for Legal.
The directors of both firms vowed to continue court actions to unravel minority shareholders’ activities and their pretense to act on behalf of the company despite the absence of any legal basis for them to do so, the press releases said.*
