The Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office awarded 11 city and municipal police stations in the province for their exemplary performance in the first quarter of the year during their flag-raising ceremony at Camp Alfredo Montelibano Sr. in Brgy. Estefania, Bacolod City, on Monday, June 24.
The awarding was led by NOCPPO head Col. Rainero de Chavez with the various police officials and city and municipal police chiefs.
Sagay City and Isabela were recognized for arresting the most number of wanted persons in the first quarter of the year.
The cities of Victorias and Silay, and E.B. Magalona were awarded for the most number of anti-illegal gambling operations.
Talisay City, Hinigaran, and Pontevedra were recognized for the most number of illegal drug operations.
The Kabankalan City and Cauayan police stations were awarded for having the highest number of operations against loose firearms.
Victorias and Pulupandan were recognized for having the highest number of arrested other wanted persons.
De Chavez said he hopes the awardees will continue the momentum to serve and protect the Negrenses.*
