An elderly COVID-19 patient at the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) in Bacolod City jumped to his death Monday, January 24.
The 68-year-old victim was admitted at the hospital’s isolation facility on Friday, January 21, Capt. Paul Vincent Pendon, Police Station 2 head, said.
Prior to the incident, the victim insisted to go home after his companion was discharged from the hospital earlier in the day, he said.
He added the patient may have felt lonely and alone, which triggered the incident.
The victim landed on the roof of the hospital’s water treatment facility that caused his death, Pendon said.*
