DSSD to round up Badjaos, minors on Bacolod streets

The Department of Social Services and Development (DSSD) anti-mendicancy team will start rounding up Badjaos and minors roaming Bacolod City’s streets ahead of the holidays.

The DSSD Anti-Mendicancy Team has already started surveillance work in areas frequented by Badjaos who are again slowly increasing in the city.

DSSD OIC Alma Gustilo said that rey have already identified several areas where Badjaos and minors have been seen but need to coordinate with the police to start peacefully picking them up.

The Badjaos are taken to the Youth Home in Barangay Vista Alegre for profiling before they are sent back to Mindanao.*
