The Don Salvador Benedicto (DSB) municipal government in Negros Occidental is closing down establishments without business permits, Mayor Marxlen dela Cruz said on Friday, July 5.
“Puerto Dos”, a restaurant located next to the national highway at Purok Cobra, Barangay Igmaya-an, was closed down effective immediately on Friday.
It was closed down for violation of existing laws and ordinances of the town, a closure order signed by Rommel de la Cruz, Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) designate, said.
“Puerto Dos” has been operating for years without a business permit, the mayor said.
He said “Puerto Dos’ is the first among several other business establishments in DSB that are set to be closed for failure to get business permits despite having received three notices.
“I signed a lot of closure orders based on the recommendation of the BPLO”, the mayor said.*
