
Two drug dens operating in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental, and Sibulan, Negros Oriental, were dismantled with the arrest of six suspects and the seizure of suspected shabu, on Monday, Nov. 24.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Negros Island Region operatives, supported by the Seaport Interdiction Unit and the PNP Maritime Group, raided a drug den following a buy-bust in Brgy. 27, Bacolod City, 7:30 p.m. Monday.
Agents confiscated twelve sachets of suspected shabu weighing about 16 grams.
Three improvised glass tooters, six lighters, a coin purse, and P179 believed to be drug proceeds were also recovered.
The operation resulted in the arrest of three suspects identified by their aliases as “Bambi,” 44, of Brgy. 27; “John,” 21, of Brgy. 28; and “Jay,” 40, of Brgy. 40, the PDEA reported.
Earlier that afternoon, at around 4:55 p.m., PDEA teams in Negros Oriental shut down a drug den in Purok 4, Brgy. Agan-an, Sibulan.
Nine sachets of suspected shabu weighing around 6 grams were seized from the site.
Authorities also recovered buy-bust money, a cellphone, improvised drug paraphernalia, and P120 allegedly earned from illegal drug activities.
The three suspects arrested in the Sibulan operation were identified only as “Placido,” 34; “JR,” 34; and “Lito,” 39, all residents of Agan-an, the PDEA said.
The PDEA said all six individuals will face charges for violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.*
