DHSUD, Bacolod eye delivery of housing units in December

The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development and the Bacolod City government are eyeing the delivery of housing units to beneficiaries in December, the first ever under the Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino (4PH) Program, a DHSUD report said.

DHSUD Secretary Jose Rizalino Acuzar and Bacolod City Mayor Albee Benitez on Friday, November 10, inspected the ongoing construction of the Yuhum Residences in Barangay Vista Alegre, Bacolod City, the DHSUD report posted on its website said .

The DHSUD and the Bacolod City government are targeting to initially turnover of 288 units in December, it said.

“This is in compliance to the order of the President to expedite the delivery of shelters to our beneficiaries under Pambansang Pabahay,” Acuzar said.

“These (housing units) serve as our President’s Christmas gifts to the beneficiaries,” he added.

Currently, the first building of the Bacolod City LGU’s 4PH project is already in the final stages of construction.

Acuzar thanked Benitez for his all-out support to the Pambansang Pabahay.

“I am elated that Bacolod City is the first LGU that can deliver under the Pambansang Pabahay, since Mayor Benitez really works hard for the housing sector,” Acuzar said.

Benitez, in response, vowed to continue support to DHSUD as he thanked Acuzar for including Bacolod City among the first LGUs to be enrolled under the Pambansang Pabahay.*
