The last day of classes at public schools before the Christmas break will be on Dec. 15, the Department of Education announced.
Classes will resume on Jan. 3, Hernani Escullar, DepEd 6 spokesperson, said Thursday, Nov. 23.
School Christmas parties should be meaningful and simple, he said.
Christmas parties should also be within the school premises and should not be held beyond 4 p.m., Escullar said.
No alcoholic drinks should be served, he added.
Christmas decorations should be made of recycled materials, Escullar said.
He also reiterated the DepEd’s no collection and solicitation policy.*
