Dengue related deaths in Negros Occidental have reached 14, the Provincial Health Office reported on Friday, Oct. 18.
The PHO also reported that there were 4,922 dengue cases recorded in Negros Occidental from January 1 to October 12.
These were 295 percent or 3,678 more compared to the same period in 2023.
Bago City still had the highest number of recorded dengue cases – 534 cases, followed by Hinoba-an – 392, San Carlos City – 372, Sagay City – 327, Kabankalan City – 313, Talisay City – 308, Cadiz City – 276, Sipalay City – 270, Cauayan – 268 and Silay City – 265.
The 11 to 20 years old age group was the most affected by dengue, the PHO said.*
