A couple died and their 18-year-old daughter was injured after four unidentified men hacked and stabbed them for allegedly stealing camote in Sitio Binalbagan, Brgy. Masulog, La Castellana, Negros Occidental, on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Killed were Diomedes Maribong, 50, and his wife, Vivencia, 50, he police said.
While the victims were walking towards a sugarcane field the four armed suspects waylaid them and hacked and stabbed them several times, the police said.
The couple did not survive, while their daughter who sustained hack wounds managed to escape.
The suspects fled.
Recovered at the crime scene were a bladed weapon and a note with blood stains alleging that the couple had stolen camote crops.*
