The police arrested twelve suspects and seized suspected shabu worth P664,112 in a series of operations in three cities and four towns in Negros Occidental on Friday and Saturday, July 21 and 22.
The biggest haul was in Brgy. 40, Bacolod City, where the police arrested Jude Villarmino, 48, and seized P408,000 worth of suspected shabu, Saturday afternoon.
They recovered suspected shabu weighing 60 grams, the police reported.
The suspect, who was tagged by the police as a high-value target, is now detained at Bacolod Police Station 6.
The Bacolod police also arrested four persons in a buy-bust operation in Magsungay, Brgy. Singcang-Airport, early Saturday morning.
Arrested were Brian Samodio, Mary Joy Lopez, Kim Edgar Dogaojo, and Jodelyn Gamboa, and confiscated from them were10 grams of suspected shabu worth P68,000, the police reported.
Roger Cabuguason, 43, of Hacienda Parnaso, Brgy. Cubay, La Carlota City, was also arrested with 13 grams of suspected shabu worth P88,400 on Friday, the police reported.
Jose Pagapulan, 46, and Patrick Henry Sy, 44, were arrested in a buy-bust operation in Brgy. Miranda, Pontevedra Saturday afternoon.
Recovered from them were 8 grams of suspected shabu worth P54,400, the police said.
In E.B. Magalona town, a teenager was arrested by the police in a buy-bust operation where they recovered five grams of suspected shabu worth P34,000 on Friday.
Leandro Orbita, 22, of Brgy. VI, San Carlos City, was also arrested after an 8-inch tactical knife and a gram of suspected shabu worth P6,800 were recovered from him on Friday, the police reported.
Mark Jeyson Anobling, 31, of Brgy. Patun-an, Calatrava, was arrested with 0.59 gram of suspected shabu worth P4,012 on Saturday evening, the police said.
Mhel Gregori Rivera, 22, of Brgy. Sto. Rosario, Binalbagan, was also arrested with 0.08 grams of shabu worth P500 on Friday, the police added.*
