Three shot to death

Three persons were killed in separate shooting incidents in San Carlos and La Carlota cities in Negros Occidental, the police reported.

Jose Brendo Padayogdog, 30, of Brgy. Buluangan, San Carlos City, was shot to death on Friday, July 21, the police said.

Lt. Col. Jesus Mesahon, San Carlos Police chief, said the victim and the suspect had a fight that resulted in the shooting.

The victim sustained a gunshot wound on his back that went through his chest and was declared dead at the San Carlos City Hospital, he said.

Mesahon said that the witnesses identified the suspect as Jerry Planas, a resident of Brgy. Rizal, San Carlos City, who escaped.

Kimbert Apatan, 30, a delivery man of an LPG store in Brgy. Palampas, San Carlos City, was also shot to death by an unidentified suspect, Saturday evening, July 22.

The victim together with his live-in partner and co-worker were having dinner inside a building when an unidentified suspect suddenly shot him on the head, the police said.

Recovered from the crime scene were two .45 caliber fired cartridge cases.

Jay Aduana was also allegedly shot by Morito Agustinis Jr. in the head at Brgy. Haguimit, La Carlota City, early Sunday morning, July 23, the police said.

The victim and the suspect were playing a card game at a wake at the house of Evangeline Mariano when a heated argument ensued between them, the police added.*
