The police arrested four persons and seized suspected shabu worth P272,000 and a firearm during a buy-bust operation at Phase 2, Sitio Overflow, Brgy. Hilamonan, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental, on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
Arrested were “Edgar”, 41, “Lemuel”, 48, “Noli”, 30, and “Nelson”, 34, of Kabankalan City, a police report said.
Recovered from them were 22 sachets of suspected shabu weighing 40 grams, an improvised glass tooter with traces of suspected shabu, plastic straw scoops, and a 9mm black widow revolver with five rounds of live ammunition, the police said.
The suspects are detained at the Kabankalan City Police Station and will be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 and R.A. 10591 or the Guns and Ammunition Regulation Act.*
