
A 32-year-old construction worker died after being stabbed multiple times by three unidentified men at the public market in Brgy. Tagukon, Kabankalan City, on Wednesday night, November 12.
Police said the victim was sitting at the market playing a game on his cellphone when the attackers suddenly assaulted him without provocation.
He sustained multiple stab wounds and was rushed to the Lorenzo Zayco District Hospital, where he was declared dead.
His remains were later brought to the Sola Gracia Funeral Homes for post-mortem examination by the City Health Office.
Lt. Col. Roberto Indiape Jr., Kabankalan Police Chief, said investigators have identified persons of interest, and that the attack may be linked to the illegal drug trade.*
