Flights from the Clark International Airport in Pampanga to the Bacolod-Silay Airport could resume soon, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Thursday, November 25.
“We’re working on it…the suggestion is for flights to resume in the third week of December,” he said.
Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific used to have flights from Pampanga to Negros before the COVID-19 pandemic, Diaz said.
They had a 60 percent load factor and three flights a week, he said.
The airlines are a bit hesitant to reopen because they might not have enough demand, Diaz said.
The provincial government is working on making travel convenient and cheaper to improve the economy, he added.*
