CHMSC, TUP strengthen ties

The Carlos Hilado Memorial State College and the Technological University of the Philippines signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) in a ceremony held on July 16 at the Function Hall, Green Building, CHMSC Talisay campus.

This is to promote friendship, cooperation, and advance their shared vision and common goals.

As stated in the MOA, there will be exchanging/sharing of academic information, publications, and expertise.

Also, conducting joint research, extension and community development, advocacy, and training, as well as providing internship, on-the-job training, and professional development opportunities were also declared.

In a welcome remark given, Rhoderick Samonte said that this pandemic is not only to strengthen friendship but also to strengthen ties.

He also welcomed with warmth and grace all officials who attended the ceremony.

Signing the Memorandum of Agreement were CHMSC resident Norberto Mangulabnan and TUP president Jesus Rodrigo Torres and witnesses Rhoderick Samonte, Director for External Affairs, and Eric Malo-oy, TUP Visayas campus director.

Also present in the ceremony were CHMSC Vice President for Academic Affairs Jay Estrellas, College of Industrial Technology Dean Russel Dela Torre, Human Resource Management Officer Viola Mongcal, Research and Development Services Director Leah Fernandez, Director for Student Affairs and Services Janet Espinosa, and Office of the Registrar of Fortune Towne Campus Rebecca Gegantoni.

Also, TUP-V Accountant Celeste Delumpa, Assistant Director for Research and Extension Nelson Franco, TUP-V External Affairs Director Rutchel Pabalinas, Administrative Aide Rene Ortega, and Ace Zander Antonio were present.

The ceremony ended with exchanging of tokens and the singing of school hymns.*
