Ceneco offers lifeline rates

The Central Negros Electric Cooperative will implement its “Lifeline Rate Program” that will give non-cash discounts to poor member-consumers starting January 2024.

The program was enacted through Republic Act 11552 to give non-cash monetary discounts to 4Ps (Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program) beneficiaries and non-4Ps members who are living below the poverty threshold, Ceneco announced Wednesday, Dec. 27.

The qualified member-consumers must fill out an application form, submit their latest electric bill, and show their valid identification cards and certifications from their local Social Welfare and Development Office that they are living below the poverty threshold.

Those availing of senior citizen discounts can also apply for the Lifeline Rate Program, it added.

CENECO can issue a Certificate of Lifeline Coverage for the first 12 months for the qualified member-consumers.*
