Poblacion, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, Saturday, August 13. Initial investigation showed that the two suspects entered the store and held the cashier at gunpoint and declared hold-up. The  suspects carted away at least P20,000, which they took from the cash drawer. The police are still investigating the incident.*

Fuel prices are going down Tuesday, August 16, until August 22. Diesel should go down by P1 to P1.20 per liter, Unioil Petroleum Philippines projected Saturday. There will be either no change or a decrease of P0.10 per liter for gasoline, it added. On August 9 diesel prices went down by P2.20 a liter and P2.10 per liter for gasoline. As of August 9 gasoline prices have had a net increase of P17.55 per liter and diesel P30.15 per liter since the start of the year.*
