Six families whose houses were razed in a recent fire at Brgy. During the City Peace and Order Council meeting led by Mayor Javier Miguel Benitez on January 16, the Victorias City Police Station reported that all 26 barangays in Victorias are now declared drug-free, the city’s public Information office reported.The city government is currently processing the requirements for a drug-free status declaration.Also during the meeting, the CPOC also approved the city's Peace and Order Public Safety Plan for the year 2024.*

The police conducted a two-day training and seminar for 22 members Barangay Peacekeeping Action Teams (BPAT) in Brgy. 2, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental, on Thursday, January 18.The Hinoba-an Police Station in partnership with the Bureau of Fire Protection-Hinoba-an, Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, and barangay officials trained the tanods to ensure peace and security in the town, a press release from Police Regional Office-6 said on Saturday.The 22 tanods who finished the training received food packs and uniforms.The police said that BPATs are essential in promoting security in partnership with various agencies that ensure peace and order in Hinoba-an.*
