The number of local government units in Negros Occidental hit by pig deaths from various diseases have increased to 19 and the barangays to 148, the Provincial Veterinary Office (PVO) reported Tuesday, July 4.The latest to be hit are barangays Mambugsay and Inayawan in Cauayan town that reported 61 deaths.The number of pig deaths in Negros Occidental have reached 15,726 with total losses of P178,223,850, the PVO said.The hog raisers affected are 3,262.*
