Capitol releases 14th month pay, also giving P40,000 bonus: Diaz

The Negros Occidental provincial government has started releasing the 14th month salaries of its employees who will also receive P40,000 bonuses, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said on Thursday, November 17.

The 14th month salary must be released starting November 15 and some departments have already done it, Diaz said.

The 13th month salaries of the Capitol employees were released in the middle of the year, he added.

The P40,000 bonus to be released will include the Collective Negotiation Incentive – P25,000, Service Recognition Incentive – P10,000 and
Productivity Enhancement Incentive – P5,000, Diaz said.

Last year the Capitol employees’ bonus was P65,000 each. However, the Commission on Audit has disallowed the provincial government from granting the Incentive Benefit for Exemplary Services, which was P25,000 last year.

Job Order and contract of service workers usually receive a gratuity bonus of P3,000 each and food packs, Diaz added.

Diaz said the provincial government will also process the Performance-Based Bonus for its employees next year, which will be based on one’s income and rating.

Renelo Lastierre , Progressive Alliance of Capitol Employees (PACE) president, said despite the anticipated lowering of the bonus they are still privileged because they are getting more than others because their Collective Negotiation Agreement has been registered.*
