
The Negros Occidental provincial government is aiming to release assistance this December to hog farmers in the province whose pigs died due to various diseases, Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said Friday, Dec. 1.
The provincial government has already allocated P10 million for the purpose and each affected family is expected to received P2,000.
The Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office is just finalizing the documents from the local government units and beneficiaries that are required by the Commission on Audit for the dispersal of funds, Diaz said.
He said so far Ilog town is the most prepared.
It is the LGUs that select the beneficiaries and the provincial government validates the list, Diaz said.*
