Cadiz sets fully vaxxed rule for public vehicles, markets

Mayor Salvador Escalante has issued an executive order requiring all tricycle and jeepney divers/operators in Cadiz City to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.

Escalante, in Executive Order SGE-01-2022, also said stall awardees, lessees and their employees doing business in public markets, and buildings and facilities owned by the city government and barangays must also be fully vaccinated.

Those who remain unvaccinated are required to submit negative RT-PCR tests results every week at their own expense, he added.

The mayor said passenger buses driven by unvaccinated persons and without valid negative test results will be prevented from entering Cadiz City.

The operation of tricycles and jeepneys with unvaccinated drivers in Cadiz City will also be suspended.*
