A cable installer was electrocuted while he was installing cable wires in Brgy. 9, Isabela, Negros Occidental, on Thursday, July 4.
The fatality was identified as Robert Mapilit, 35, a boom truck spotter and post installer and a resident of Daan Lungsod, Tuburan, Cebu.
The victim was installing a cable wire on the top of a post, when he accidentally touched a primary line of the Negros Occidental Electric Cooperative which resulted to his electrocution, the police said.
Mapilit was rushed to Ignacio Arroyo District Hospital but was declared dead on arrival.*
