Three persons, including a barangay tanod, were killed in separate incidents in Negros Occidental on Thursday, Dec. 12.
A tanod died after she was hit with a telescopic shock of a motorcycle in Purok Estiwetes, Brgy. Bagong Silang, Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental, on Thursday.
Alias “Wilma”, 38, a member of Barangay Peacekeeping Action Team, died after she was mauled by alias “Ristituto”, 38.
The police conducted a pursuit operation and arrested the suspect.
Meanwhile, a man who was formerly imprisoned was shot dead by an unidentified person in front of his house at a relocation site in Brgy. Vista Alegre, Bacolod City.
Rolly Raquel, 40, sustained two gunshot wounds and was found lying on the ground by his child.
The victim was formerly imprisoned for frustrated murder and was released in 2021.
Capt. Dax Santillan, Police Station 10 commander, said that they are still investigating whether the victim was shot due to revenge.
The police is also looking at an alleged connection to the illegal drugs trade.
A driver was also stabbed dead by another driver in Sitio Candabid, Purok 2, Brgy. Tuyom, Cauayan, Negros Occidental, the police reported.
Alias “Ed”, 47, was stabbed by “Lorenso”, 37, the police said.
The suspect went to the victim’s house, stabbed him on his left arm and fled, the police said.
However, the suspect went to the Cauayan District Hospital for treatment of a wound from the incident and was arrested by the police.
The victim was declared dead on arrival at the same hospital.*
