Negros Occidental Gov. Eugenio Jose Lacson turned over an P8 million solar powered water system to Mayor Pedro Zayco Jr. for the residents of Brgy. Orong in Kabankalan City Tuesday, February 16.
Zayco said he is very grateful for the cooperation and unity of the different stakeholders in the project.
“Using the sun’s energy for the water system is a cost-efficient alternative to help and accelerate the development of Brgy. Orong community,” he said.
Lacson challenged Brgy. Captain Jerry Gonzaga to take care of the project
since the water system will provide the basic needs of the 300 households in the barangay.*
