
Brgy. 19 was the overall champion at the Electric MassKara, one of the MassKara Festival highlights, at the Bacolod City Government Center grounds, Saturday evening, October 21.
The barangay’s electric float was decorated in silver embodying the “supercity” theme, with some materials made out of empty plastic bottles.
Micheal Victor Joaquin designed the winning electric float while Philip Deocadez created the choreography with their Electrika Diva Noreen Palermo.

Palermo, their float muse or Electrika Diva contestant, who wore a lighted feathery costume danced to upbeat samba music.

She was declared the MassKara Electrika Diva winner, beating the other 10 contestants.
The barangay and their diva received P300,000 and P75,000 in cash, respectively.
Following Brgy. 19, was Brgy. 17 as 1st Runner-up and Brgy. 12 as 2nd Runner-up.
There were 23 floats , 11 barangay and 12 corporate, that joined the Electric MassKara.
Other barangays that participated were Bata, Singcang-Airport, 5, 14, 18, 24, 25, and 32.
Present at the Electric MassKara was First Lady Lisa Araneta Marcos and Bacolod City officials led by Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez.
Marcos, in her speech, congratulated the organizers for a “job well done” as the festivities proved that Bacolod is indeed the city of smiles.*
