The Estée Lauder Companies’ Breast Cancer Campaign (ELC) for free mammograms for underserved and underprivileged residents was launched at the Bacolod City Government Center on Wednesday, February 22, Kasuso Foundation chairman Maria Lourdes Cortez del Rosario said.
Memorandums of Agreement (MOA) were signed with representatives of the Bacolod City government, Zonta Club of Bacolod, Kasuso Foundation, Bacolod Diagnostic Center, Medical Plaza Analysis and Laboratory, Riverside Bacolod Cancer Care Center, and Kadughan Foundation for Breast Care, she said.
The MOAs were inked to provide the underprivileged access to affordable laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures where government funds are not timely, accessible and affordable, del Rosario said.
Del Rosario said she, Bacolod Mayor Alfredo Abelardo Benitez and Zonta Club of Bacolod president Remedios “Reeda” Bantug had a meeting of minds to partner on ELC’s Early Detection Project and Kasuso’s Patient Navigation System to reduce “lost-to-follow-up” cases.
Also with del Rosario during her visit to Bacolod were Kasuso Foundation trustees Lizette Fernandez Lim and Aileen Antolin.*
