Binalbagan is this year’s Panaad sa Negros Festival Folk Dance Competition champion and won P50,000 cash.
The competition was held at the Panaad Stadium Wednesday night, April 19.
Escalante City placed second and won P40,000, followed by Cadiz City, third place – P30,000, Kabankalan City, fourth place – P25,000; and Murcia, fifth place – P20,000.
Consolation prizes were given to Himamaylan City, Bacolod City, and Silay City who received P5,000 each.
Among the winning dances performed in the competition were Karatong, Ti-Silaw, Tubong Kalatong, Pasikat sa Baso, Pagdulang, Mamumugon sa Kampo, Sala Ti Mais, and Panangasin.*
