The Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) ranked first among other police offices in Western Visayas in the Unite Performance and Evaluation Rating (UPER) in August.
Col. Noel Aliño, Bacolod police director, said on Tuesday, August 29, that the BCPO ranked first with a 96.94 percent rating.
This is the first time that the BCPO ranked first in the UPER as it usually goes to the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office, Aliño said.
NOCPPO ranked second with 96.33 percent followed by the Iloilo Police Provincial Office with 95.46 percent, and Iloilo City Police Office with 95.16 percent.
The UPER system of the Philippine National Police aims to assess various units of the agency and will serve as basis for retention or relief of unit commanders, and serve as a feedback mechanism in monitoring progress in achieving goals, among others.
UPER evaluates operational (60 percent) and administrative (40 percent) performances every month.*
