Bacolod under Alert Level 1, Negros Occidental AL2: DOH

Bacolod City is under COVID-19 Alert Level 1 and Negros Occidental in under Alert Level 2, the Department of Health reported on Monday, December 13.

The DOH also placed the COVID-19 risk classification of Negros Occidental and Bacolod City at “minimal.”

Only Bacolod City and Iloilo City are under Alert Level 1, while all of the provinces in Western Visayas are under Alert Level 2.

Bacolod City had one new COVID-19 case and six deaths, while Negros Occidental had 8 new cases and 17 deaths, the DOH reported on Monday.

The COVID-19 active cases in Bacolod City were 269 on Monday, the DOH reported.

The Provincial Incident Management Team reported 271 active COVID-19 cases in Negros Occidental.

Negros Occidental Provincial Administrator Rayfrando Diaz said there only 13 COVID-hit patients and seven suspected to have the virus remaining at the Cadiz District Hospital.*
