Bacolod tourism strengthened through hotel collaboration

The Bacolod City government is strengthening the local tourism industry through hotel collaboration.

The Bacolod City Tourism Development Office (BCTDO) held a meeting attended by representatives of key hotel establishments at Citadines Hotel on Wednesday, Feb. 12,   to discuss how to boost the city’s tourism appeal.

The aim is to make Bacolod a premiere destination for business and leisure travelers, a BCTDO press release said.

Owners, general managers, resident managers, and directors of sales and marketing from Bacolod’s top hotels attended the meeting.

The meeting also aimed to foster good relationship, discuss tourism updates, and explore new initiatives under the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (M.I.C.E.) program, the BCTDO press release said.

“This collaboration is crucial in elevating Bacolod’s presence as a M.I.C.E. hub”, Ma. Teresa Q. Manalili, Chief Tourism Operations Officer, said.

“Through partnerships like this, we can further enhance our city’s initiatives and attract more visitors”, she said.

As part of the city’s continuous efforts, collaborative meetings and programs are expected to be held monthly to align with Bacolod’s tourism roadmap, she said.*
