The Bacolod City government distributed more than P1.4 million in financial assistance to 358 beneficiaries during the Department of Social Services and Development – Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (DSSD-AICS) payout held on Tuesday, May 12.
The assistance provided much-needed relief to residents facing medical concerns, burial expenses, and fire-related losses, a press release from the Bacolod City Communications Office (BCCO) said.
A total of P1,435,500 was released during the payout.
Of the amount, 313 beneficiaries received medical assistance totaling P1,217,500. Burial assistance amounting to P193,000 was granted to 43 beneficiaries, while two fire victims received a total of P25,000 in aid.*
