Bacolod City is donating P2 million to help the earthquake survivors in Cebu province.
Bacolod City Mayor Greg Gasataya said on Tuesday, Oct. 7, that the assistance will be given to Bogo City, the worst affected by the 6.9 magnitude earthquake last week.
This is Bacolod’s way of showing support and cooperation among the LGUs in the midst of the disaster, he said.
Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said on Monday that the Negros Occidental provincial government is donating P2M to Bogo City.
“I am encouraging local government units in Negros Occidental to make donations to earthquake-hit areas in Cebu if their budgets will allow it,” Lacson said.*
