The city recorded 189 COVID-19 cases on Monday, the highest ever in a single day since the pandemic started, Em Ang, Bacolod Emergency Operations Center director, said.
The previous highest number of cases recorded in a single day was 180 in May 2021, Ang said.
They expect cases to still go up, she said.
